The ceramics of Carlo Zauli possess a hypnotic quality: soft forms and surfaces that seem almost alive, shaped like bodies in the midst of transformation.

From 18 June to 23 August, Palazzo del Fulgor, home of the Fellini Museum, presents:

Carlo Zauli. The Sensuality of Form, an exhibition curated by Matteo Zauli. The show features sculptures, lithographs and etchings from the Museo Carlo Zauli.

The dialogue between Zauli and Federico Fellini is rooted in a deep human and poetic affinity. Both born in Romagna and both drawn to an imaginative vision of reality, they shared an understanding of form as something animated by vital, emotional and sensual forces.

Zauli’s works resonate powerfully with the visionary universe of the director of 8½: a world of metamorphosis, desire and images suspended between dream and matter.
