The exhibition, curated by Alberto Brambilla and Andrea Fornasiero, celebrates the collaboration between Academy Award-winning American screenwriter John Ridley (recipient of the 2014 Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for 12 Years a Slave) and Italian comic book artist Stefano Raffaele, who received the 2026 Coco Award for Italian Excellence in the World.
The exhibition is introduced by a poster created by Stefano Raffaele featuring Two-Face and Renee Montoya, the protagonists of the miniseries G.C.P.D.: The Blue Wall, produced in collaboration with Ridley.
The exhibition showcases three works created by the two authors, all distinguished by a cinematic visual language:
G.C.P.D.: The Blue Wall (DC Comics, 2022), focusing on political tensions within the Gotham City Police Department;
Ministry of Compliance (2023), a science fiction thriller that uses an alien presence as a metaphor for discrimination;
Trigger Warning (2024), a horror story published in the Creepshow series, inspired by EC Comics and exploring the viral nature of social media.
The exhibition juxtaposes high-definition digital prints of the interior pages with the original artwork created for covers and preliminary studies, offering visitors an insight into the creative process behind these works.
